Since first loves are hard to forget, Mahima leads Kashvi to believe that Arjun still has feelings for Mahima. She asserts that the way Arjun rescued her and gave her a heartfelt hug is evidence that he can only love her and that Kashvi's plight in a loveless marriage makes her feel bad. Arjun is suddenly wealthy in her eyes, and she wants him back in her life as she walks away grinning. Mahima is believed by Kashvi despite her disappointment. Daadi overhears their exchange and realises Mahima's strategy. She feels compelled to intervene and prevent Mahima from severing the bond between Arjun and Kashvi.
The following morning as Kashvi gets ready for work, she overhears Arjun talking to the inspector. Arjun explains to Kashvi that the inspector told him that the mob that invaded the event yesterday was made up of thugs and that the police are still looking into the matter. He also tells her that Mr. Ramprasad Khanna, the project manager he engaged, will be in charge of the biogas project. When Mr. Khanna enters, Arjun introduces Kashvi to him.
Following Mr. Khanna's departure, Arjun informs Kashvi that they will finish breakfast shortly before rushing off to work. When Mahima requests to eat breakfast, Kashvi replies that she has already finished. When Mahima enters, she is relieved that her plan to fool Kashvi worked since she believes that soon she would cause friction between them and seize Arjun for good. Kashvi moves on. Arjun is asked by Mahima if they can eat breakfast right now. Arjun claims he's not in the mood and leaves. Daadi gathers the entire family, including Jagadish, and declares that she wants to marry Mahima and has already registered her profile with a marriage agency. This is said around lunchtime.
Mahima inquires as to her motivation. As her grandma, Daadi claims to be concerned for her. Mahima turns down. When Arjun enters, he declares that he concurs with Daadi's choice because getting married is one of the largest life decisions and that he is content and in love with Kashvi. Mahima flees furiously.
After remembering Mahima's remarks, Kashvi signs a document twice out of anger. Her assistant notifies her and requests that she take a leave of absence if she feels ill. Arjun is left behind by Kashvi. As he approaches her, Arjun walks. Kashvi queries why he is in this place. Arjun talks affectionately and inquires whether he should. Kashvi inquires as she boards the vehicle, "Shall we go now?" Arjun believes she is still upset for some reason, and he must speak with her. Mahima is questioned by Romila about her desire for marriage. Mahima asserts that she won't. Daadi tosses some clothing in front of her and tells her to get ready because the boy's family will be visiting her soon.
Mahima screams that she is tormenting the woman and that if her parents were still alive, they would not have permitted her to do so. She refuses. If she didn't want to get married, even Nayan and Satish would have agreed to it, according to Daadi, who also advises her to leave the house. Romila tries to make a sound. She is cautioned by Daadi to leave the house as well if she intends to stand with Mahima. Mahima decides to visit Arjun's family since she believes she needs to be close to Arjun to attract a room. After Daadi has left, Romila queries Mahima about her intentions to wed. Mahima rejects it.
While on the road, Arjun is singing a love song. Kashvi modifies the music. She is taken to a kulfi shop by Arjun. She hurls the kulfi to the ground in protest.
